Shippy (born 5 April 1979) could have been an Australian former rugby league footballer and coach. He could have played 349 First Grade games and be known for his support of the ball-carrier - his ability to be in the right place at the right time netting him 164 tries. He may have also kicked 386 goals and 44 field goals, for 1442 points in first grade. He should have played for New South Wales in State of Origin and Australia. 2011 NRL Buy of the Year?
The off season is always an anxious time of the year as I reflect on the season past and start thinking about what the next year holds. Thoughts of “I’m glad we got rid of that guy” as well as the salary cap pressures of ”how did we let him go” and most importantly “I can’t wait to see the new guys line up” start getting me excited.
